Our Family Photos

The Littlest Prince
These are just a few moments I couldn't resit capturing. I am amazed every tie I look at him, and simply cannot express the love I feel for this tiny person. I am especially fond of his hands - they are very expressive, and he uses them very well for one so small and not yet supposed to be in the world. What can I say? He is so incredibly perfect.
Family
Delinda, Caylee and Judy Ender (Cody's mom) came to visit Will on Saturday, October 25. I made a MO fried chicken dinner and we all stuffed ourselves.
Caylee
This Caylee, daughter of Clay and Delinda Ender; and Vanessa and Cody's niece. She was also in the wedding.
Mark's First Visit
Mark Harrison, Will's grandfather, sees Will for the first time on October 23 at Vanessa and Cody's home in Quanah, TX.
First Bath
FIrst Bath, October 23. He wasn't too crazy about his first bath, but once he was warm again and Vanessa picked him up he was happy again. There are some really good photos in here with his eyes open.
Homecoming
Will came home on Wednesday, October 22, eight days after birth. He is doing very well, and loves his new nursery, but does not like to have his diaper changed.
6 Days Old
October 21. Will is 6 days old and his jaundice is up again. He is under the lights and we are hoping he will get to come home in a couple of days. Good news is he got his I.V. out and he is eating well. He still weighs 4.5 oz.
4 Days Old
October 19. Will is 4 days old and doing better. He still has his little I.V. and a bruise on his little hand, but his jaundice is now gone and he is eating without spitting it all up. We are very hopeful that he will be released soon! He weighs 4.5 oz.
The Cowboy Corral

The plan was to come the weekend of October 17 to do the nursery. Of course, you know what they say about the best laid plans! I finished the nursery late last night, October 17, in anticipation of Will's homecoming. We are hopeful he will be home sometime this weekend. Anyway, here are just a few photos of the Cowboy Corral!

The Littlest Cowboy
On October 15, 2008 Vanessa and Cody welcomed the arrival of Will Allen Ender. Born 5 weeks early, Will was born at 12:32 p.m. after 25 hours of labor. He weighed in at a whopping 4 lbs. 9 oz. and is19.5 inches long. We we all very concerned with the premature delivery, but after several hours, the doctor pronounced him doing "better than expected." By the early evening, Will was nursing and was breathing well enough to be brought to Vanessa's room. By 7 p.m. be were all holding him and we all fell instantly in love with this wonderful little miracle. I can't tell you how I feel now - this little human being is the most amazing creature, and my heart is so full it is uexplainable. We are hopeful he will be strong enough get to come home on Friday.
Vanessa and Cody's Wedding Photos
On May 24, 2008 Vanessa married Cody Ender of Stamford, Texas. They met while they were both working at the 6666 Ranch in Guthrie, Texas. Vanessa was in charge of the horse breeding program, and Cody in charge of the Cutting Horse program and training. They are both horse lovers, cattle buffs and all things "ranchy". Cody has now taken a new position as Manager of another cattle ranch in Texas. For those of you who might not know, Vanessa was scheduled to mary Cody on September 6 in Denver Colorado, but in late April we received the wonderful news she was with child, so we moved the wedding up and threw a shindig with less than four weeks planning! As you will see from the photos, it was wonderful. The peonies in her bouquet are from my gardens. I also made the poor cake and all the decorations, so it is what it is in a three week turn around time! We have, literally over a thousand photos, these are but a few.
Vanessa and Cody's Texas Reception Photos
After the wedding, on June 21, Cody's family threw a true Texas Two-Steppin shindig complete with all the fixins in Cody's hometown of Stamford. It was wonderful and we all danced the night away as  you will see in the photos. It was a great time and Cody's parents, Judy and Gary, really pulled out all the stops. Many of Cody's friends helped out as well. It was a true labor of love in honor of Vanessa and Cody. It was great meeting all their friends and family. They had a great band, with a fabulous fiddle player, and lots of incredible BBQ and beer. So FUN!
Baby Shower - September 20
Vanessa's baby shower was on September 20 in Missouri. We had mostly just family, a couple of my childhood friends. She got so many nice things, and people were just so generous. We had a luncheon  - Vanessa's favorite chicken salad, fruit, veggies, etc. and of course I made the cake. We had a great time and we are all looking so forward to Will's arrival in November. However, the photos are really not very good, and the date is wrong, but it's what we've got!
Vanessa at 7 months

These are shots of Vanessa we took in the back yard at the 7-month mark. We had fun taking the shots and I think she looks great! She is 29 years old.
